Miro

Miro ran an online developer hackathon on Junction Platform to grow awareness of their API and SDK ecosystem. Hundreds of developers participated, and multiple prototypes came out ready for Miro's public Marketplace.

Why Junction?

When looking for a platform to host our external Miro hackathon on, Junction immediately came to mind as a partner we had collaborated closely with previously. However, we had never used the standalone Junction platform to host an online Hackathon. After meeting with the Junction team and getting an overview of the capabilities (project hosting, jury scoring, etc.) and support they would offer, it was a clear choice to continue collaborating with them as a trusted partner. The combination of the people and the platform were unmatched.

What were your key objectives?

The main goal for our online hackathon was to increase awareness of Miro’s public developer platform APIs and SDKs, and acquire new developers for our platform. One of the main KPIs we tracked for the hackathon was conversion from registrants to active participants.

Were the expectations met?

With Junction’s help, we had several hundred active participants join us from even more registrations.

How was your experience before and during the event?

Junction’s support during the weekend of our online hackathon was something that truly stood out. From helping us ensure the platform operated smoothly and participants knew how to work with it, to assisting with participants’ ideation and development—the participation from Junction truly exceeded our expectations. An extra special shoutout to their CTO, Javi, who was hands-on and working side-by-side with us in a true partnership.

What was the feedback from participants?

Participants didn’t have much trouble navigating the Junction platform. Overall, the feedback was positive and participants were able to submit their projects with ease.

Were the solutions generated during the hackathon valuable?

Yes! Several of the prototypes created during our hackathon were viable solutions that participants were interested in taking to our public Marketplace. It will be great to see what the future holds for these ideas.

How was your overall experience with the Junction Platform?

The support from Junction and the openness to feedback, constant improvement, etc. was what sets them apart from the others.

Would you recommend Junction's SaaS solution to other companies?

I would definitely work with Junction again and won’t hesitate to recommend them to other companies.
